Something quick and simple (just the way I like projects!)

I've done a little bit of crafting this afternoon - first in a long time! Some of you may have seen Ali's post on 08/02/10. This is my take on that project :)
A close up
.
As you can see, I punched my hearts out of Bo Bunny dot papers. I love that range and thought it would be cool to use the different colours I have. The hearts are then just stuck on to white Bazzill textured cardstock with foam mounting pads. It's sitting in my craft area at the moment - I'll have to see if that's where it stays or if I find a new home for it.

UPDATED Jane (great minds think alike!) made the butterly version of Ali's project which is also super cute, you can go and see it here

This morning I've .....

Made Emily's lunch (only for her to remind me later that she's going to try and have cooked lunch at school today) and seen her off to school.
.
Done two loads of washing and got them on the airer
.
Picked Claire up from Craig's and had breakfast (bacon toasties) with her at Costa before she went to work
Had a Cinnamon Latte with my bacon toastie :)
Had people give me strange looks as I sat taking photographs while sitting in Costas (on my own once Claire had gone to work) ;) Getting used to that!
Made an appointment and taken Cloud to the vets. She's scratched herself raw and it's become infected. Could be because she's missing Wallace and doesn't like being on her own when I go out.
Taken Cloud for a walk once we got back from the Vet.
.
Come home and downloaded my photos :)
Bring on the afternoon!

I don't have a title for this one ;)

I am hopeless at trying to come up with titles for blog posts! I'm beginning to think I should just put the day and date or something ;).
.
It's been bitterly cold here today so I haven't been up to much. I was dozing off on the couch this morning and it was still early. I've been feeling tired lately but couldn't work out why but I think I may have come up with a possible reason. As I mentioned before, Jon started work last week and he leaves home just before 6am. This means he's up early and, although he's careful to be quiet, I tend to wake up when he gets up and then doze on and off until he leaves. By then it's time for me to get up anyway so I guess I'm getting less sleep than I'm used to which could be why I get so sleepy. My excuse anyway :)
.
Guess who're coming downstairs more these days ;). Bellatrix and Mac! They are so cute but also very inquisitive. Let's just say I'm still at the stage of chasing them off work surfaces and tables and we have to be very careful what's left lying around. If they hear me call their name and then get up, they have started to jump off whatever they are on! Hopefully it won't be too long before they go up less and less and then stop altogether.
We've found that if ever we don't know where they are, the first place to look is behind the couch.
There's a radiator behind there and it's lovely and warm - the ideal place for a nap!
Here, Bellatrix is twisted over on her side with her head upside down and squashed against the wall while Mac sleeps - using her as a pillow!
They weren't very impressed that I'd woken them up - and even less so because I'd used a flash because it was so dark behind there ;)
I think they were really glad when I went away again!

Laughter is the best medicine

Today I noticed that it was lighter a bit earlier than usual which made me feel like Spring is coming (once again!). This afternoon this was the view from my back door - sunshine!! Hooray you might think? Wrong!! I decided to take Cloud for a walk just after Emily went to school this morning; it was chilly, so I put on my jacket and gloves and started out. Well, by the time I'd got to the top of our little circuit my mouth was virtually numb and my nose and ears frozen! The wind was icy!! So I wasn't too surprised when it started snowing a little bit later.
.
I decided to go out this morning rather than stay in and do housework ;). I phoned Mum and asked if she fancied a trip to The Craft Barn in Lingfield - silly question really! :) We had a look around but didn't buy much - I wasn't over impressed with the selection they had this time. The best part was that we saw Sarah there. Sarah used to work at Creative Pastimes (where we used to go before it closed down) and now works at The Craft Barn. The last couple of times we've been she hasn't been there so we weren't sure if she was still there or not. Lovely to see you Sarah (now that I know you still read the blog ;o) ) will let you know about the date we mentioned.
From The Craft Barn, Mum and I headed round the corner to Best Wishes for a cup of tea. As tends to be the case when Mum and I get together, we had a good laugh.
And when we went back to the car we noticed this man doing the dry cleaning ;)
Is this how dry cleaning is normally done?? Standing round the back of the shop hand spraying garments? Mum and I did have a good laugh before Mum said, "Take a photo!!". Not wanting to disappoint, I hopped out and grabbed my camera from the back seat ;). Are we the only ones who find this quite amusing?
