I took Cathy's class last year and although I wrote out a fair bit of the journalling, I never got round to completing the album. I've decided to start again this year and have made a new tag book to get me going.
.
Having seen Cathy's digital book in her video this week, I am seriously thinking of having mine printed in book form too, so I'll be making digital pages. As for who to use to get the book printed, I looked up Blurb and they have a UK website - think I might give them a try. Has anyone else used Blurb before?
xx
Hi Rhona ~ I haven't used Blurb before but that's most likely the site I will use to print my MeTAV album when the time comes. I'm still writing the journaling pages (have a long way to go) as well as designing the digital pages (I am still SLOW with PhotoShop) but I am enjoying the project! Your little tag book is adorable! xo
ReplyDeleteI was interested in what Cathy had to say about 'blurb' ~ her videos are so entertaining to watch, aren't they? I'm converting my tag book notes into journaling and beginning to collect up photos, it's a long process, but I am really excited about it.
ReplyDeleteI've decided to use 8.5X11 digital pages and will probably go the book route as well with the site she listed. I have all the pages set up and digital papers picked out. The tag book is pretty well complete, but I haven't started serious journaling yet. I took a similar course several years ago at BPS and after a lot of thought decided to enroll in Cathy's and get it done. I like this format much more than the one we set up in the previous class so I'm hopeful I'll get it done.
ReplyDeleteI think this will be a very long term project for me.....I've been making notes in the tag book...but got no further than that.I'd like to do digi...but don't think I've got the skills....so will probably be hybrid.
ReplyDeleteI'm not taking the class - but I was investigating blurb the other day because I'm thinking of making up a book of my blog so I'd love to know how you get on with it when the time comes.
ReplyDeleteCUTE little tag book! :-) I haven't tried Blurb yet, I looked into it when wanting to print up my blog posts but it didn't seem to do quite what I wanted.
ReplyDeleteMeTAV-wise, I've allocated my ideas to each letter and typed up a couple of the journaling spots, and I spent this morning trimming my patterned paper pieces and thoroughly enjoying the process!!
Hi Rhona! Waving and passing through. I had a lot to catch up on your blog! :o) How exciting that Alice Rose will soon make her grand entrance into the world!
