A good day.

The doorbell went mid morning today - it was the florists delivering a single red rose ... for Claire. I went up to give it to her and it didn't take too long for her to guess who it was from and why. She was right! It is the one month anniversary of her going out with Graham. Graham is away in Devon on holiday but had sent her a rose to let her know he'd remembered. She was a very happy girl! In other news, I went to Weight Watchers again today and am happy to report that I've lost another two pounds this week. That brings it to 8 pounds for the 3 weeks I've been doing the diet. I'm very pleased with that and am hoping it continues! Still a long way to go but I've passed my first goal of half a stone; now to reach the next goal of a stone! Have a good evening. xx

Are you fed up yet??

Are you bored with seeing the same layout design yet? I've got another two holiday layouts to share but then I'll try and take a break (or do something different) . These two are also from holidays in Chicago. For those who don't know me that well, Jon's brother and his family moved to Chicago in 1998 and we've been lucky enough to go over to visit them a few times. They have children the same age as ours and they all get on really well, so going to Chicago is an absolute pleasure. In 2006 just Emily and I went. She and Henry get on really well and it turned into a High School Musical feast for them. By the time we left they both knew the words to all the songs and I think they could do all the dance actions as well! Every time I hear High School Musical it reminds me of our time in Chicago. Though having said that, I've just realised that I don't have any photos of them singing or dancing!
The blog prompt for yesterday was: When was the last time you said yes to something new? Share that experience and what you learned with your readers.
I've been sitting here trying to think when the last time was and I honestly don't know. Perhaps when I was asked to teach a few card making classes at a local scrapbook store. I remember being extremely nervous before hand and went through my preparations a number of times but in the end, it went well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Do you remember when you last said yes to something new?
