Wednesday again!

Another busy morning. Had to go to Waitrose first thing and then shoot out to Lingfield to go to the Craft Barn to try and get some more paper for the class layouts (but they didn't have the same colours :o( ). Went to the Doctor's to put in Jon's repeat prescription and then went to the hospital to give Debbie (Jon's sister) her birthday present. This left me with about half an hour until I needed to pick up Dad to take him for his hospital appointment. When I got home, however, there was a message telling me that my new glasses were in the store. Being the impatient person I am, I dashed into town to go and pick them up and have the fitting checked and still made it to get Dad on time (just!)

We found our way to the hospital and had left more than enough time for getting there. For once Dad was called in on time and we were finished before 1pm. Mum and Dad suggested stopping for lunch at Chequer Mead, hadn't been there for a while and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a jacket potato with tuna mayo and it was delicious. Should have taken a photo - but I didn't. Not doing very well at taking photos at the moment; will have to try harder!

Got home just before Emily and I've changed into my new glasses because my eyes were drying out with my lenses in. I've been taking Lemsip Max for a cold and, as well as drying up my nose, they seem to dry out my eyes. The new glasses are soooooooooooo much better - I can see again!! Now I've just got to get used to what I look like wearing them as they're very different to my old ones. I'll have to get old glasses/new glasses photos and then you can see what I mean. Just don't tell me you don't like the new ones because I'll cry!!! ;o) I'll work on getting those photos for tomorrow.

For today, a few more layouts. The ones with hand writing around the photos (because I couldn't work out how to do the typing around them - if anyone knows how I do this so it goes round like the handwriting, please let me know!!) are not complete yet, I'm waiting for a brown pen and I'll go over the writing when it arrives.

UPDATE: Back from Weight Watchers and I've lost another pound this week, brings the total to 16 pounds so far (and no weight gains in the 10 weeks I've been doing it - yippee!!)

Busy Busy

It's been a busy couple of days this week. Yesterday Mum, Claire and I went and did the weekly grocery shopping. Our usual Monday morning trip to Sainsburys. Got home around half ten and then had to go back into East Grinstead for a couple of things. While there I popped in to see if there was any chance of getting my opticians appointment changed to sooner than next week. They said they could see me at 12.40pm so, no point in going home first and a good reason to go to Nero's for a coffee :o) By the time I did finally get home there was only about half an hour before Emily got back from school and the usual afternoon things took over. Had great fun doing Emily's French homework with her - she was in stitches at the way I pronounced things ;oD - did the trick though, she got 11 1/2 out of 12 in her test today!!

Today saw me going into Crawley with Mum, Dad and Hugh. I needed to get a top for myself and a cardigan for Emily, to wear to the funeral on Saturday. (We've got a fairly early start, needing to leave home by 7.30am as it will take us a couple of hours to get to Deal and the funeral is at 10am.) The weather has been quite chilly in the mornings and I don't want us to get caught out. Fortunately I found what I was looking for quite quickly and we had time to do Hugh's shopping and a bit of browsing. We had lunch in East Grinstead when we got home and again, back to the house shortly before Emily was due home.

I haven't had a chance to do the last couple of days layouts - the preparation is done but I haven't got the photos printed off yet. I'm hoping to finish them tomorrow but may be taking Dad to Crowborough hospital for a check up around lunch time. Will find out for sure in the morning. Keep checking in and I'll post as soon as I can.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is Dad's 79th birthday! We had family round for afternoon tea and cakes and were able to sit outside as the weather has been beautiful. This morning Claire made a Key Lime Pie and I made some scones. I remembered to take photos of the scones but forgot the pie because it was in the fridge :o( - needless to say, there's none left so I can't take a photo now! I'd forgotten how much I used to enjoy baking - I'd quite like to bake more but I don't know how good it would be for Weight Watchers! A Scrapbooking Day

Somehow I seem to have got way behind with my layouts for Shimelle's class but, today, I've made up for it and am now up to date (bar one, which I am still trying to get right!!) They all have the white background now (even the ones that I had previously done with different coloured backgrounds have been changed to the white). Title Page Day 15 Day 16 Day 17 Day 18 Day 19
